Scope of Work: Rehabilitation and enhancement of the fire protection and detection systems.

Project Overview:

MECO successfully executed a critical upgrade to CEGCO’s fire protection infrastructure, enhancing system efficiency and ensuring compliance with international fire safety standards. The project scope included:

  • Foam-Based Fire Protection: Supply and installation of foam monitors for the main diesel tank to enhance fire suppression capabilities.
  • Emergency Response Enhancements: Supply and installation of manual call points for rapid fire alarm activation across critical areas.
  • Advanced Fire Detection Systems: Supply and installation of a UV/IR detection system to provide early fire detection and improved safety response.
  • Deluge Water Spray Systems:

              - Installation of a deluge water spray system for auxiliary transformers, offering automated fire suppression in high-risk zones.
              - Installation of a deluge system for the steam turbine compartment, including protection for the below area and lube oil skid, mitigating fire hazards in essential operational areas.
