Project: Firefighting and Fire Detection System Rehabilitation and Development
Scope of Work:
The project focuses on enhancing and upgrading the firefighting and fire detection infrastructure to ensure optimal safety at CEGCO’s facilities. Key deliverables include:
- Installation of a new firefighting pump set to improve system efficiency.
- Rehabilitation of the above-ground steel tank used for fire water storage.
- Installation of new thermal-insulated fire main pipes and fire hydrants to ensure quick access to water in emergencies.
- Deployment of a diesel tank deluge cooling system to enhance protection.
- Installation of water monitors for efficient firefighting operations.
- Installation of a deluge water spray system specifically designed for transformers (Units 1-5) to protect critical equipment.
- Integration of a comprehensive fire detection system for all power station buildings.
- Installation of a UV/IR fire detection system in the diesel tank area to ensure early detection of potential fire hazards.
This project aims to strengthen safety measures and improve emergency response capabilities within CEGCO’s operations.
